Overclock for 6800gs

Thread Starter
What's an average overclock for a 6800gs PCI-E? Mine's at 490/1100 and I'm getting weird errors and some flickering in some games.

try lowering the OC, eVGA cards usually arn't the best OCers (in my personal exp.) If it doesn't go away after returning it to stock, try adjusting your screen refresh rates..

mine runs 495/1250 or 1300 all day.

Just lower the core like 5 mhz then try to play games, keep repeating until it stops. Then when it stops, start upping the memory like 10mhz until the problem comes back.

My 2 cards are currently running at 490/1100. I went with these clock-rates for the time being since eVga sells a superclocked version of the card with those exact clock rates. I've had the card running at 525/1.2 on stock cooling long enough to benchmark it and didn't have any problems or high temps.

Does the flickering go away at the stock clocks?
