Hey buddy, I just dropped my Xiggy in after waiting for some G-751 to come in the mail. I can't take pictures for you sadly but I'll borrow my girlfriends camera and try to snap a shot, my case is pretty messy at the moment because its a build in progess. I need to buy the vertical mount bracket I don't like the way it looks pointing down.

I haven't looked at an idle temp yet, and keep in mind this case has tons of things in it now (pci wifi, soundblaster, 2x 5770s, multi hard drives etc.)
I'm running under full load prime 95 max heat torture test and sitting in the mid 40s C at 3.6 GHZ stock voltage. I don't know if this compound "sets" over time and performs better, I may have also done a bad job because I was moving the xiggy all around trying to get it on, shouldn't have done it on floor.

I'll leave the computer on over night at stock 3.2GHZ and see what temp its sitting at in the morning and post a better idle / load. Also going to try push/pull with my ultra kaze 3000s another day and see if I get lower temps.

EDIT: it seems I was removed from the owners list?? Do I need picture proof?

Nah, I'd say keep it Dark Knight exclusive. The Balder is an SD1283 and looks quite different than the Dark Knight and it's not nickel plated (black) from what I see either. Just my 2¢. But, it looks like a great cooler for the price/performance!

Obviously, your club, your rules.

If you mean moving it around like sliding/ twisting is ok just don't pull it off and place it back on as that will almost guarantee little air pockets which is a bad thing. Air pockets will act like little insulator's making heat transfer to the cooler hard.
Yea, I would suggest not working on a pc build on the carpeted floor. Static electricity could reek havoc on pc hardware.

IMO....leave the club as is. Making one exception leads to making another.
But as stated your club, your rules.

I will be getting a custom mount soon. Then I will be able to mount the correct way.

yeah, when I first installed this thing I was like, did I do something wrong? because its blowing towards the top of my case....guess its not that big of a deal, because i have the antec 902 and i have the fan up there, but believe me, I was scratching my head for a few minutes after I installed it

love this cooler, works great, and I love the look of it

keeps my phenom ii x4 940be to 60 under stress testing @3.6

Starting from scratch. I am currently at 3.3ghz at stock voltages. No, I did not stress for 8+ hours, but 3.3 usually should be stable with this chip on stock voltages. Anyway, here are my load temperatures.

About my ambient temperatures, I don't think they are very accurate. Currently my thermometres say 23-24°C, but that can't be right as it sure does not feel like that. I think it's more like 20-21°C. That should explain the low temperatures I posted earlier.

I will see how far I can go on stock voltages.
