The Official Xigmatek Dark Knight Owners Club - Page 46

I just ordered a Dark Knight last night, I can't wait to be a new addition to the group!

P.S. I will be using an i5-2500k. I'll see how it works without the bracket, but I may be ordering that soon too.

Erik Silver, now look what you did.
If you got the Rev.W, it comes with the 1155/1156 bracket, so you don't need to buy anything. Hope it works well for you.

BTW guys, I'm thinking about lapping mine. The base on mine is really uneven, and there is actually discoloration on the heat pipes (like I see black stains). I figured it would be worth the investment since I would be able to resell it for more $ if I ever decided to upgrade.

Haha okay, I did get the Rev.W

I'll get some OC results up after I finish my build, too.

Well now I have it, I'll put up a test or two for the heck of it sometime soon

BigAIT424, I added you.

@Charlie- What mounting are you using for the DK? Naf's custom mount? Or is it Xigmatek crossbow from the first page that I linked?

Great to see the Dark Knight family growing!

Hi guys!

Add me to the group

I've had the DK for over 2 years but I recently bought an ATI775 mounting kit to achieve positive airflow on my Fortress FT02B and made a push/pull system using some clear tape and a 120mm TriCool fan which I stole from an Antec Solo.

Hoping to get some OC done in the future.

What kind of case is that, jisu? strangest design i've ever seen. It's actually making me a little nauseous just looking at it.

Yea, I'm using the crossbow.

BTW, I will be lapping my HS really soon and will post pictures and results for you guys. From what I hear, I'm expecting a drastic improvement. Only cost me $15 and 2hours of time for what should be 5-10C of temp decrease.

It's none other than the Fortress FT02, pure class case. The design exploits the simple fact that hot air rises

Makes sense, and is a unique design. But, the temperature difference is probably very small when compared to a $80 case. IMO, not worth the $250 price tag. It also makes it akward & tacky to have to attach cables and cords on top of the case. If it was me, I would have spent that extra $170 on a water cooler kit. Those will make drastic temp improvements. Just my 2cents.

I find it 10x easier not having to crawl to the back of my case to attach cables. You tell me if these look awkward* and tacky:
