8 members with OCN tags in their names on the server, it was 4 on 8, and no one switched... cmon guys, at least level out the teams, I know it might hurt your K/D or Win/Loss but it keeps the server populated!

Just say "Teams", works when I play everytime.

I admit that sometimes when playing, even when dominating the other team, I don't pay too much attention to the rosters until someone says "Teams". Go easy on us inattentive players

I tried that too, after you recommended it. It didn't stop it from happening EVERY round thereafter once the server came back up.

Its just annoying to be playing 4 on 8. I constantly tab to check the teams, scores, etc...

Maybe its just me. I'm not even a stat whore, I couldn't give a crap, I'm generally pretty bad at games LOL

I just think at least evening the numbers is better than nothing.

Not to bash EA ... okay ... maybe. Who releases a game with a broken autobalance?

Here is my theory (saw it suggested somewhere else a while back).

Infinity Ward came out and said that MW2 wouldn't have dedicated servers. Gamers flipped. DICE saw this and thought 'Hmmm, maybe we should add them in...' as up to this point they weren't going to use them either. Then they announce "Well, that game sucks but OUR game will have dedicated servers." By shoehorning in the dedicated servers in a way that would at least partially appease gamers, they were able to technically make this true. But they obviously weren't thinking this from the start. This would explain the horrible server browser, horrible admin commands, lack of console, issues with only certain providers, etc.

I dunno, it works in my head and it makes sense.

Here is my theory (saw it suggested somewhere else a while back).

Infinity Ward came out and said that MW2 wouldn't have dedicated servers. Gamers flipped. DICE saw this and thought 'Hmmm, maybe we should add them in...' as up to this point they weren't going to use them either. Then they announce "Well, that game sucks but OUR game will have dedicated servers." By shoehorning in the dedicated servers in a way that would at least partially appease gamers, they were able to technically make this true. But they obviously weren't thinking this from the start. This would explain the horrible server browser, horrible admin commands, lack of console, issues with only certain providers, etc.

I dunno, it works in my head and it makes sense.

They didn't care before about dedicated servers before, and still don't. The only difference between now and before is that EA is trying to use it to sell Battlefield. It was only because of MW2 did they actually make a big stink about it.
But DICE has always used dedicated servers even for 1943. I don't think they shoehorned it in if you will. They just suck with them.
I said this would happen from day one since everyone started making a big deal about BC2 over MW2 but no - I was just h8ting right? DICE cannot do dedicated servers properly.

It's a money thing, has been but now more then ever, and forever will be with them. Sad, yes, but it works as all the poor saps were eating out of DICE's hands.

We need to get the hardcore server up and going. Tomorrow guys late afternoon EST! Be there or be square.
