I just want this card to release so that half of this forum can eat their words, and the other half can rest knowing they were right all along.

Bottom line: It's a graphics card, get over it.

I want to make a point that people seem to miss.

When he says "unmanufacturable" he doesn't literally mean that it is impossible to make one. He means that the design is so ambitious and large and power hungry and hot that it is not possible to get any kind of acceptable yields on the full chip. Which, since the 480SP GTX480 has been confirmed, is true. They had to disable part of the chip to get good enough yields/low enough power usage to make this launch work.

So please, no more of this "they are making it, so obviously it isn't 'unmanufactruable'". That is just being obtuse.

Exactly my point!
In the first, he says 448 at 225w. That sounds siimilar to 480 at 250w (current release) or the earlier expected 512 at 298w.

Obviously nvidia got the yields up so they don't have to go down as far as 448sp
