Def the 175 looks like a great proc, def could hit 3.0, thats crazy...seems way better than the new FX-60, although I wonder how the 60 OCs

60's have better chance of 3.0....If I was to buy, i would get the 170 over the 175 because I like to save cash, and it would probably OC just as high.

you would save money, but why would the 170 OC to the same speed as an OC 175, they r the same CPU diff being the 175 is clocked at 2.2, it seems the 175 would OC to higher speeds than the 170

well, usually these chips are the same core, just different multipliers. That's why some people say buy the sandiego 3700 and not the 4000 to save money cause they both clock to the same point.
I'm sure the 175 would clock higher, and so would the 4000 SD, but most likely 50-100mhz....I dont think it justifies the extra $100.
Its not with the money for the chance of 50mhz....

I'm sitting at 2.7 on my X2 3800, faster than a 4800 x2 at this point, I'm impressed with this 300 dollar chip.
