Some questions about future Build

Thread Starter
I'm thinking upgrading my sig rig. As you can see isn't very powerful so i'm forced to upgrade it. My budget is around ~600$ (more or less) and i have to buy from my country. I have 3 configurations in mind so far.

#1:

Case : Recom Power Station EVO w/Transparent Sidepanel (86$)
Mobo : Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H (144$)
CPU : AMD Athlon II X4 630 2.80GHz AM3 (149$)
CPU Cooler : Scythe Ninja 2 rev. B (44$)
RAM : Corsair 4GB DDR3 1600MHz CL9 XMS3 rev. A (155$)
Hard Drive : Samsung 500GB F3 (60$)

#2 (here i can get rid of the case and keep my junk but i don't know if the Phenom 955 is worthing extra ~65$ for 5-10% extra performance) :

Mobo : Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H (144$)
CPU : AMD Phenom II X4 955 3.20GHz (220$)
CPU Cooler : Scythe Ninja 2 rev. B (44$)
RAM : Corsair 4GB DDR3 1600MHz CL9 XMS3 rev. A (155$)
Hard Drive : Samsung 500GB F3 (60$)

#3 (is a Intel build, ) :

Mobo : Asus P7P55D (170$)
CPU : Intel Core i3 530 2.93 GHz (140$)
CPU Cooler : ZEROtherm ZEN FZ120 (40$)
RAM : Corsair 4GB DDR3 1600MHz CL9 XMS3 rev. A (155$)
Hard Drive : Samsung 500GB F3 (60$)

So what do you think? (I personally like the AMD 630 build because i can finally upgrade this junk case of mine xD )
I'll buy it after the Easter Holyday (that's in about 2 weeks) so i can have time to decide what to buy. As you can see the price of the parts is high but i can't find anything else cheaper here

Why spend so much on RAM? Get something like this

And this is a good and relatively cheap case : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-137-_-Product

Edit : Oh, You're not from the USA.

I can't find that RAM in my country and that case is 129$ here and the NewEgg doesn't ship in Romania either, so i'm forced to buy expensive parts here '

Edit : Unfortunately

Number two looks like it would serve you the best, I just think that you might b able to pick up a better cooler for less than 44 dollars. Try The for sale section, theres tons of cheap secondhand equipment there.

EDIT: NVM you live in romania, not many ppl from ocn ship there. Build 2 is the best build you can get if thats possible.

I like your choice of Athlon II X4. You can clock those pretty high and the difference between a Phenom II and a Athlon II is the L3 cache but IMO the 4 cores will give you more bang than the L3 cache would

I like the Samsung HDD. I believe that only has one platter so it will so it will actually perform better than some Raptors out there.

You could get away with 1 stick of 2 gig. Then you could add another 2 gigs if you have money later.

Also the mobo, you do't REALLY need a 8xx series mobo. You could save 50% and get a decent 790 series mobo. All you would loose is USB3.0 and SATA 6GB transfer rates. That won't hinder you in anyway unless you are doing serious data transfers In that case you could get a card that could give you USB3 or whatever you need. You would still save some money in either case.

Big Performance would be your GPU and your CPU. Focus on those elements by either throwing money on better components, or ways to overclock them higher. So get a cheap processor and clock it high with a good cooler, or get a expensive processor with an unlocked multi and you wont need such a badass cooler.

Good coolers for quads that are probably cheaper than what you have there would be a Xigmatec S1283 or a AC Cooler. There are a few AC Coolers out there but this one is the best price/performance ratio. This is what you want. I know you can't get Newegg, but that is what you want.

If you want to save some cash scrap any Intel builds, no offense guys. You have the power, but not the price.

For intel build spend a bit more and get a Core i5 750 and it will smoke any AMD system.
