Make sure you have a decent CPU cooler and that it's properly mounted with the right amount of TIM.
Also, it would help if you'd add your system information. Can set that up at the "User CP" section.
Pro runs on stock cooler, i did core unlock once and then reverted back to default state. System has been running fine for the last few months with cpu temp in range of 39-45 degree C.
But last week my system turned off by itself while running Handbrake video encoder...i checked bios and found that system tripped off due to CPU over temp (temp was set to 60 degree C).
I restarted and again run handbrake but this time i watched temp reading using Everest 5.x and Biostar overclock utility.
In everest the cpu core1 and core2 temp rose to 60 degrees and continued to rise. while the cpu temp stayed between 45degreeC.
I touched the heatsink and it was hot (ive had an athlon XP and Athlon64 both has never been this hot!) So I switched off when system reached the 65degre mark.
Buy the temp remain normal (43 degreeC) while doing less intensive tasks
Does any one know the core die temp of Phenom2 ???
Which cooler will you guyz recommend ? (After all we cannot let a BE run on stock speed!)Edited by joe333 - 3/9/11 at 11:39pm
