i7 Build Thread - EVGA, Intel, OCZ, Antec, and more! - Page 4

Very nice stuff. I like all the power packaged inside a small Antec 300! Clean & simple, very nice. Last thing left is to get your SLR camera charged and to take final pics of everything!

Yes a very good job the pictures are awesome step by step and your reviews was sweet. love the fan Idea on that thermalright is it really loud?. might have to do that on my 90 with a two way fans. why not upgrade a thermalright Chipset cooler so it have a 80mm fans on it. I don't know about a clone software i been reading up on it. I don't know which brand does better. I never done it befor.

When you're talking about the fan idea on the Thermalright, are you talking about the CPU heatsink, push/pull fans and shroud? If so then nope, it is not very loud at all! I'm running AP14's which are rated at only 21dBa. Most people run the faster/louder version, the AP15's, but I get really good temperatures with my slower fans and the shroud probably plays part in it.

Regarding the Thermalright chipset cooler, I thought about installing the HR-05, but I just don't think there is enough room for that cooler in my setup. Between the CPU cooler and my video card, I don't have too much room to work with. I might be able to squeeze JUST the HR-05 in there, but I don't think I'd have room for fans.

Goodluck with cooling your setup! I say that if you are able to run push/pull fans, do so..and if you can put a shroud or 2 in there...thats even better!
