Thread Starter
My mom bought 2 of these for a new computer I'm going to build her.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231029

Do you think this would be better for ocing than the stuff in my sys specs?

your DDR500 kingston will outperform value anything. You'd have to pay at least twice that cost (per stick of course) for comparable gskill

yea, the kingston you have already runs stock at 250mhz, that's a big jump from 200mhz that the gskill is. The gskill probably wont overclock much, but if you want just basic memory, thats what you got.

Since you have both, then try both then you will know which one.

Neither of them do 1:1 for that high. It runs at 166mhz divider stable atm. The Kingston wouldnt do that high with the same divider stable... Hrm weird. 300 dollar ram or 100 dollar ram and the 100 wins...

Are you sure you are pumping enough voltage into that PC-4000? It should atleast run 250mhz, otherwise it's defective or your mb doesn't like it and you should rma it, and run a 1:1 divider.
