[Windows 7] Complete HFM Guide - Page 2

Thread Starter
I just had to reinstall a GPU client, and I know it's working (checked the log), and I've directed HFM to the right location, but it doesn't recognise that it's working.

I'm not looking for help here (since it'll probably sort itself out for the next WU), but is this a common issue with people? Might help me with newer folders who might also get this...

Never mind; got bored and reinstalled the GPU client (while saving the old WU; thankfully it didn't get corrupted).

Fixed now.

So I can't get HFM to pick up my GTS 250 in one rig, nor can I get it to pick up the 9600GT that I slapped into my sig rig for the CC. Is able to pick up PPD for the SMP clients running however.

Make sure the active folder didn't switch from AppData> Roaming to the install location? I'm sure you would have checked the log file for the active location anyway...

I cannot get HFM to detect my vmware client either (sniperx's guide). I will give it some time as either \\\\FAH\\fah or \\\\[IP Address]\\fah will then yield (-bigadv -smp 8) after that is input.

It must be on to something? I am guessing regardless that I was sitting at 63% it is going to take another 3% to start registering?

Another 3% for HFM to show accurate PPD, but only if it's being detected. Make sure if you enter \\FAH\\fah or \\\\[IP Address]\\fah in Windows Explorer, it actually goes to the correct location too.

Or better yet, check the top of the log file for the VMware; it should direct you to the proper location.

Well 192.168.2.12 is the default fah client web configuration page in my circumstance.

Therefore one would surmise that
Code:
\\\\192.168.2.12\\fah
would work in Firefox also?

If I right mouse click my cpu client and click "view cached log file" it pulls up CPU-FAHlog and the log mirrors my progress noted in the web config page.

If I right mouse click "view client files" it pulls up the fah directory where I can see the FAHlog and queue.dat files ect.

If I hover over the hfm.net systray icon it show that I have 1 working (gpu) and 1 non-working client.

When you open the FahLog, it should have the location of the client at the top of the log.
