Help with weird temp change from yesterday

Thread Starter
Athlon XP 3200+ 2.2ghz.

I sold my old video card on ebay yesterday, and had to unplug my 2nd moniter vga adapter to include with the video card, so i'm only running on one 17" moniter now. Yesterday my puter' was idling at 43c. I took the vga adapter off the puter last night and shut er' down. I just booted 15 minutes ago and its now idling at 27c... what the...?

Can changing from multiple moniters to single make a 16 degree difference in cpu temp???

Any load on the CPU can effect the temps... I would not of expected that much but the case air flow and the vid card load could equate to a higher case temps and increase the CPU's temps.
