Film Editing Video Card

Thread Starter
Just got a new film editing comp. P4 524, 512 MB, 160 GB hard drive and i'm wanting to get an ATI card for it. What would you're suggestions be? Right now I'm looking at either an x700 or x800 in PCIE flavor.

Well, I'm not THAT big into film editing. Gotta get some light gaming in there too. Also, I'm upgrading RAM to 1 GB, and getting another 250 GB Maxtor for it.

Pfft...

I do TONS of video editing on my setup and I've never had a problem, You only need an Enterprise card if your going to be doing it as a profession or such.

If its just home videos and that, All you need to drop in is an FX5200.

But if you want something more into that area, Grab an X800 series card with VIVO, Which can benefit you alot if you have alot of video throughput on your system.

I'm guessing the Crossfire cards have VIVO, right?
