I played just fine last night for a few hours. I just reinstalled this, updated my game, punkbuster and of course running recent drivers on my video cards. Today this afternoon i'm getting constant 5 min crashes in a multiplayer server. Can someone tell me what i can do to fix this? I even have my mic plugged in to see if it did crash again and it did.

Hope you can tell me your professional thoughts to fix this problem. I really don't wanna resort to reinstalling modern warfare 2 cuz i hate it with a passion. This is strange i was fine last night playing for hours! Now i get this? I'm not being hacked am i? Yes i get paranoid sometimes but i know i'm not lol. I watch too much movies i guess.

With these types of issues with games I typically try earlier drivers. Reinstalling directx as well as lowering settings might help as well. If its hot at home today and it was cool last night I might back down the gpu oc a tad to eliminate that as well. Reducing your variables always helps in fault tracing.

Update your video driver recently? If so that very well could be your problem. I've been having nothing but problems with the nvidia drivers since the 195.xx drivers.

I've rolled back mine to the 186.18 and so far so good.

Well good; when trying to fix something one always has to consider other possibilities. Even ones that might damage egos or go against assumptions. Don't make me laugh at your limited experience that would cause you to so quickly dismiss something like a video option when something as little as a sound setting could cause you such woes. Glad you fixed it.
