well this was interesting, I called newegg.com and they said they are sending me a check (refund) for my motherboard. Anyways I get an email stating that my motherboard will be shiped in 1-2 days. soo umm I called newegg again and I didnt mention about the motherboard being shipped and they said a check is on its way and it will probably take 3-7 days to get here. So yeah looks like they screwed up or they really didnt send me a check, cause if I do get a valid check I am cashing that thing asap before they find out there other warehouse shipped me a new motherboard. Doesnt matter either way cause I did get my motherboard and I will probably work on it at the shop sometime monday.

man if I do get a valid check it would seem wrong to cash it, considering they did send the goods. owell

IF I return that mobo to newegg.com will they send me another one like brand new or will they take the one I have and repair it? Also I might be switching sides with mobo's too, cause I know the A8n32 is very random and it can be in and out of stock very easily so if it is I might have to decide on another mobo, obviously DFI, which leds me to the next question on newegg I see about 5 mobo's and they all look the same yet prices are differnt? would this one be the best? Also I wanna thank ALL you guys for all the help I appreciate it alot!!!!

Here's what you can do:

RMA for replacement (not repair) (free)
RMA for refund (15% restocking fee)
Or contact newegg and ask for an RMA without restocking fee because the board is defective. Then just order a different one.

EDIT: Sorry if this sounds out of place but I only read up to your quoted question.

alright guys I got everything up and running still got a few bugs that need to be worked out such as, the USB controller and the Mass Storage controller. but they dont worry me right now. I havent had a chance to play around in the bios much so I dont know what my options are but I plan on doing that sometime this weekend. I tried the AI booster that came with my Asus motherboard and its alright I did a 10% increase and got 2420. not bad I am running it as the same speeds of a 4000+ but I wanna shoot for 2800 here soon. O yes my temps are awesome, I love the big typhoon. Right now I am at 26 idle and 30C load, so it looks like I got alot of head room for overclocking. Anyways I gotta get some school work done and maybe if I get a chance today I will check out the bios, of course I will probably need you guys help since yes I am a n00b

here is just a picture of what I got so far, theme is vista if your wondering,

Nice job man! Everything seems to look pretty nice! I bet that san diego will get 3ghz+. All the new ones have been doing 3+ and I've seen your stepping in the mix of the successful ones. Good luck on overclocking and nice pick of hardware. You sure didnt make very many mistakes for your first time.

lol I would hope to get that but if I reach 2.8ghz I would be estatic, not to mention this is a BIG difference from my 2.8ghz celeron, yuck. Anyways I just wanna say I love AMD,

also I think my system was getting a little buggy from overclocking with AI booster, every so often (about 9 time :-X) my internet explorer or firefox would just crap the bed, it could be something internally, bad drivers or something? but latly it seems alright again at stock.

I gotta ask a question to the people that own a A8n32. on my lan or high speed I have a 1394 connection that I disabled cause I think thats what was causing the problem. would it be effecting firefox or IE6 in anyway cause it says it has a firewall yet I have one already? I dunno just trying to debug whats the problem.

anyways once I get that all solved I will let my computer break in for a while, then try overclocking asap

just wanna thank all you guys too, I love overclock.net, its a great community, tons of help and suggestions and I hope to contribute to it

O yes I forgot to mention, that is ONLY with IE6 or Firefox all the other programs run fine so I guess it wouldnt be my overclock effecting it?
