I'm actually mildly jealous. White is so damn hot right now.

At this point not really. There are paints and paint additives designed to help with heat. These are more for engine parts that get well over 200F. I doubt your card case will ever get that hot so you might be OK as far as heat.

But if the paint doesn't sufficiently bond with the substrate (your case) it can lift and peel. Heat would speed up this process but I just don't have expereince painting PC parts to say one way or the other for sure. In other words you might be effed or you might be just fine, only time will tell.

I would recomend that once you get it painted don't handle it for 24hrs and don't reinstall it for another 24 to be on the safe side. Plus, over the life of the card try to keep from handling it too much. This will keep the chances of the finish crapping out to a minimum.

Now you got me trying to figure out what I want to paint...

48 hours without mah video card.. I might die actually.
I wonder how it will perform without the shroud, but still keeping the fan and heatsink on there...

You might be OK if you strapped a 120mm fan to the sInk as well but make sure you check all your temps. The stock fan would be almost useless without the tunnel effect of the case to channel air across the sink.

ETA: waiting the extra time is just cheap insurance to protect against the finish failing.

I'll put my Noctua on there.
I don't think I would need to wait an additional 24 hours, as I put this thing in my computer just 4 hours after painting it the first time and it was fine.
I had plastic wrap under just in case.

next time you do it... cover the middle pin stripe with tape and use a razor blade to cut the excess tape... it will come out way better...

But still... looks really really nice man!
