Ugh lapping is a pain sometimes. I'm lapping a water block, I started with a 320 grit to get a nice flat base and then I went up to 800 (a big jump but I've done it before, you just have to sand a little bit more with the 800) and I went through 3 sheets of 800 and the edges just werent going smooth like the rest of the base so I decided to go back down to 320. I'm just mad because I wasted all that time and money trying to get the 800 perfectly flat without having those annoying edges showing. In hindsight there was enough surface area that was flat to make enough contact with the cpu but I guess I'm OCD like that... Now I have to drive out to the next town and buy more sand paper. I like the expensive kind, much better quality and easier to use.
