I would leave your resolution where it is. Turn your textures and shadows all to either medium or low and try running it with 2xAA. It should play really smooth with settings like that. When you turn up all the settings, the game uses about 1.7GB of RAM. Lowering your textures will keep most of the game data on the physical memory instead of having to use the page file, which can cause some choppy frame rates.

my 6800nu unlocked 16/6 didnt run bf2 on highest settings with a mild oc. Get a 6800gs.
