Is fraps safe?

Thread Starter
I've been wanting to download fraps, but does it cause one's graphics drivers to be corrupted, resulting in a blue screen?
Also, whats the difference between the free version and the paid version?
Yes and you can record more the 30 sec and no water mark.

I have heard that it does take a resource hit, and make sure you get the 32 bit 1 for 32 bit os, and like wise 64 bit for 64 bit os..

Nope it's not safe at all! Don't listen to these guys! It's full of trojans and other various Malware!!!!

Seriously, it's perfectly safe as its been said. I've had it for YEARS without issues.

yeah confirmed. I dont think fraps could mess up stability. It uses up a small bit of your system memory and CPU and nothing else really

Why would you think it causes BSODs? It's been around for YEARS. Been using it since the SoF2 days personally.
