GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD7 Problem with DDRIII OCZ

Hello guys..... I'm from Greece and I have an issue with my M/B

My PC:

CPU Intel i7 930
M/B Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD7 with BIOS F6
RAM 6GB OCZ Blade 2133 DDR3 (OCZ3B2133C9LV6GK) 3x2GB (DDR3_1 + DDR3_3 + DDR3_5)
Ge-Force 7950 GX2
HDD 150GB WD Raptor 10000RPM (boot)
HDD 400GB WD (data)
PSU Corsair CMPSU-850HXEU PSU (850W)

Here's the issue....

When I start my PC BIOS sees 2GB of RAM. I entered BIOS to change RAM voltage from default 1.50V to 1.64V. After that it can see 6GB of my RAM at 1066MHz. Next day I start my PC again and it sees AGAIN 2GB of RAM... I enter again to BIOS and sees only DDR3_3 slot. After NOT changing anything at BIOS, I save and exit BIOS and it sees 6GB of RAM.

It's my 2nd M/B. My 1st changed because it was broken from factory....

Thanx in advance guys..............

ps: no overclocking yet....

This is directly from Gigabyte's website. It tells you what memory is supported, size, model, and how many pieces. http://www.gigabyte-usa.com/FileList...a-x58a-ud7.pdf

Page 17 of the motherboard manual will explain exactly where to insert the memory. Each type has a different placement. http://download.gigabyte.eu/FileList...x58a-ud7_e.pdf

I hope that helps.

MacG32 thanx for the reply....

But officially GIGABYTE told me that they haven't checked all OCZ memory modules (so mine is not in the list but that does not mean that is incompatible). Modules already set to DDR3_1, DDR3_3 and DDR3_5 slots.....
People I asked about my problem told me to check PSU, M/B and RAM modules....

Thanx again man

Sounds like a bios problem. Do you have the latest bios flashed? If so, it seems that your bios isn't keeping the changes you've made. Maybe changing the post time to also do the memory check may help, because the motherboard is seeing the memory. You're welcome

What speed are you trying to run that RAM at?

For 2000mhz ram you need pretty high QPI/VTT voltage mate.

Lemme check.

edit: you might need up to 1.50 QPI/VTT voltage for 2000mhz ramspeeds.
Try Vdim @ 1.64v and QPI/VTT at 1.50v, see what that gives.

If it works you could try to start tweaking the QPI voltage down step by step but you'll need a lot.

+1 ^^

For 2000 or above memory speed you will need very high QPI/Vtt 1.5-1.6 and it's really not suggested for 24/7 usage.
