9550 no better than 9800pro

Thread Starter
I used to have a 9550 256MB it overclocked from
core 250 to 450
mem 200 to 250
i now have a 9800 pro 256MB it over clocks at
core 380 to 450
mem 250 to 270
so looking at the speeds it is not much better than my 9550 cos it over clocks the same.
What do you all think?

the fact the 9800 has twice the pixelpipelines and a 256bit bus means the 9800 will obliterate the 9550, clock speeds arent evry thing ya know.

well thats may not be full pro, as the pro did have originaly a 256bit bus , but still the the 9800 core is superior to the 9550 so the clocks speeds shouldnt matter too much.
means it can process 8 pixels per clock were the 9550 can only process 4 per a clock

yes but it has more piplines, so it will be better even at lower clocks

Can't these pipes be unlocked on the 9550?

I have the 9550xl 265mb that has the 9600 bios, it reads four pipes.
