Compaq P3 in a Compaq P2 mobo

Ive have this old compaq P2 which runs a 233 with out overclocking and 350 with overclocking....I use it to run XP and Ubuntu.....i lately got this P3 out of a Compaq at school....is it possible to put this P3 in the P2...? both slot 1 i think

i think it all depends on the motherboard , i have a asus motherboard and i think its p2 and i have a p3 in it , they use the same socket so there should'nt be any problem , what kind of mobo is it i can check for you

It doesnt say on the mobo....were would it be in the BIOS? the computers their out of look alike....... just on had the P2 in one had the P3
