Thread Starter
Ok i see all these people asking for help to build a system so i thought i would jump on board to my PC that i had built for me by some local guy that has his own computer thing. its kinda out of date and not realy up to par i just got a new better paying job and thought this is the best time to go for a new PC that i have wonted to do for some time now..

I have abought a 700 to 750 Budget set aside for it.I have a nice case that i got for the first one but i do think i will need a new power supply and i was shooting for eather 1 good graphics card or somthing in SLI and a AMD 64 Base if some one could list me some good parts that would match well this is somthing i know nothing abought.. i will need everything but the case and HD and cd drive

EDIT:
Well i got to looking aroud and i think im just gona make some payments on a Alienware Aurora 7500 with the AMD base.
do you think this would be a good envestment how long do you think it will be good for.

At least it isn't a Dell....the 939 platform is on the way out--the next jump to dual core/ 45 nm die processors is about ready--Intel is already there and AMD is scrambling to get there.

Although AMD is currently giving the best band for the buck I wouldn't count Intel out of the game yet--they are the giant of the industry and would love to give AMD a good trouncing this time around.

This is assuming you are choosing to buy/upgrade at this time looking to future-poroof your PC.

However, the upside is that prices for what is currently the best stuff (FX/SLI) will rapidly become affordable as it is "displaced" by the latest offerings. Which means that if you choose to wait a few months and build your own ALienware-Spec rig it should realise you a considerable (20-30%) savings.

Good computer, horrible price. You could build something far better for less.

Are you insane? The man has a $750 budget.

A set up of a 3000+ 64 venice, 1 6800 gt, a gig of corsair, and a gigabyte mobo, and he can play any game with medium-high quality. That computer will last you about 2 more years.

yea guys the only way i could get somthing like that is to get it financed through Alienware i did not realy wont to do the 5 grand for the next model and i dont know how to put a pc togather so do you think i should wait a nother month and see what intel does?

I real bin hearing AMD is the way to go with gaming.I just wont somthing that i can depend on and get a good life span out of so i was just asking.

This is a link to the computers witch is better the regular 7500 with the AMD or the Area 51 7500 with the intel??

Listen man, building a PC is easy. It'll take you maybe 2 hours to learn how to and build your PC and it will save you a good 20% over anything that you can buy. Also, if you really want to buy right now, AMD currently offers better processors for less money. Go with an AMD.
