Guild Wars, it's got no monthly fees. Which in my opinion equals better.

I'm sorry to once again stick my head into this thread but:

Guild Wars is no MMORPG, and as MMO's are the only genre I know of that has a monthly fee, I don't quiet see why it's so amazing for it to have no monthly fee? It would be outrageous if it did

Can you explain your reasoning why GW isn't an MMORPG?

Guild Wars isn't a massively multiplayer game. In PvP there's only like 15 players in each match. In the RPG mode, most the people are just in the citys. The fields are pretty much empty. MMO's usually have thousands of players not hundreds on each server.
Not bad at all...

I have GW and enjoyed it while I played it. My cousin got me onto WoW with his 10 day trial. They are vastly different and I definitely prefer WoW simply because the world is indeed more immersive, the classes offer distinct differences in play style and the world is huge. I love the touches like the trade skill system, honour system, auction house for buying/selling and mounts for riding around.

GW is a lot more focused on pure competitive pvp play once your char has ran through the world once.

Uh by fields u mean the areas once you leave the cities? They are "empty" cos they are your own separate instances the minute u step out of the cities so you're only gonna see u and your party its impossible for you to bump into another player wandering outside. Stops any random idiots u encounter stealing your kills/items or whatever.

World of Warcraft is an MMORPG, and Guild Wars is a CORPG. And if you are to choose an MMORPG, I suggest you looking for Lineage 2. It's got a bad reputation, but with the latest free upgrade (Chronicle 3), gameplay was greatly enhanced, and it became a great game. It's very much like World of Warcraft really, however, it's got way better graphics and the best PvP system of any MMORPG.

uhh guild wars is a MMORPG and a hell of alot better than WoW i play both (would never pay for WoW) GW is alot better game overall then WoW and yes L2 and GW have alot better graphics than WoW

if you want my opinion get GW its alot of fun and ill play with you if you get it

EDIT:

alright in GW you get your own privet PvE for you and/or party so in saying that GW IS STILL A MMORPG NOOBS GET IT RIGHT!!!
