Yeah you can, but sometimes it's not universal... also form factors are a bit of a pain to work with. Not all of them are compatible/right format

I didn't know you could replace the RAM in a laptop... how exactly do they fit everything in anyway? How do they lie it down?

Change the headset to some ad700s. You should really spend the extra $100 for a 955.

It's probably the easiest thing to upgrade in most laptops. As long as there's an access panel. Laptop RAM is called SO-DIMM, Small Outline Dual In-Line Memory Module, and Desktop RAM has a similar acronym minus the SO part (DIMM, Dual In-Line Memory Module). A SO-DIMM is a little less than half the length of a DIMM (~63.6mm vs ~133.4mm):

Laptop RAM does not lie upright but on its side:

Here's a video showing how to upgrade your laptops RAM:

Good choice on the CPU and motherboard. I have unlocked 2 different 550s to 4 cores and oc'ed em both to a solid 3.6GHz with that same board. You should be able to do the same and then some with that BE model! Good luck on the AMD chip lottery!

Seems to be the batches coming out these days are pretty good man so I'd say you got a good shot! I'd wager that you'll be rockin at least 3 cores!
