Good to know, thanks

the price difference between the 2 are so small (i can get wd blacks for 65, then the f3s for 67 with shipping) and can't decide. I looked at one review and a guy got 40 mb/s slower read speeds with the WDs D:

Yeah it is small... look for reviews with AMD chipsets, they perform worse than Intel counterparts by like 5-10%. Although that was in the SB710 era, you're going to be rocking an SB850, seen no tests on that so far.
But it all comes down to personal taste really

If you said your budget is 1600 then why not just go all the way and get a 1055T or just a quad core rather than the 555
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...03851&Tpk=1055
it would be about exatly 100 dollars more

One thing I don't quite understand, why is the screen so small? I understand it's cheap, but I got my Dell S2209W for 140$...

for resolution purposes. want the pc to be future proof
post #187 of 278
haha, so you want to keep the resolution low so you can play all your games maxed out?
True it's pretty cool, my friend has a 7900GS and he claimed he could run Crysis on max... well after thinking he was crazy (I was running a brand new C2D and a 3870 and had issues at 1440x900) I realized that he's running 1024x768 and since he only sees with one eye he distinguishes less frame skipping than I do...
So yeah, story of my life!

Last year, I bought that Dell 1080p screen and it was 2.5 inches more than my 19"... but man... that display was gorgeous and amazing! A lot more pixels in the same space (almost) which ends up I only need to use 2xAA (sometimes 4x, but past that no difference).

hahaha. nice screen .... I agree, the larger the screen it does add a very awesome experience.

On my old rig, before i slabbed 9600GTs in it I had a 7600gs, and for the most part, (at the time) it gamed well on a 17in LCD on high/max settings. Not all games, but for the most part, ya. I upgraded to a 24in 1920x1200 screen....couldn't run barely anything at the native res. xD i tried CoH and the best I could do was low on all settings. Got a 9600GT and same story, slabbed another one in there and it was juuuuuuust playable. (then again there was a HUUUUGE bottleneck with the 939 3800+X2 @ 2.4 ghz )

Yeah, well big display and high pixel density is really sweet (for my eyes, I'm still young and I see well) so I personally think you might as well buy a good/bigger res screen... difference in price is kind of small when you need to buy something good now. Just my thought and strong recommendation.

Hy man, wwazup.

Im writing on my iphone so yea, lots of grammar errors to e expected.
I wanted to ask u guys one thing, which is: gaming cpus, whats better? Getting a quad core processor (965 BE) or the best dual core or triple core availble? Which will make games faster? Cuz i hear only a few games take advantage of all the 4 cores when running. Games like gta iv and so.

So, if someone could enlight me about this issue, veri muchi apriciate.
Kkthxbaibai
