Birthday PC? - Page 23

kai, turns out i'll be fine with the 1900 rig. But if NCIX can't price check for me then i duno. How well do they do the price check? Some things were well over 20% of their price (i.e. the drives, case, headphones, mic, things like that).

well for being an audiophile i don't know if i would qualify myself as well, but when i got a decent soundcard, armed it with a a cheap pair of hi-fi headphones, the quality of the sound made counter-strike sound like a completely new game. hearing all the extra sounds helped out a lot. BUT, i have that same sound card (and don't know how well the win7 support is on it, i heard it was pretty bad).

The card is....well in edmonton..... I figure it is actually better then the card that im getting. it was something very similar to http://www.auzentech.com/site/products/x-plosion.php (i think they are the same).

But the old one has better amps by the looks of it. How well does the titanium hold up in terms of sound quality?

I think they'd be pretty much similar in terms of sound quality. As long as you take a third-party sound card, they all are pretty much great, I'm not an audiophile, I just love good sound so I just got a 3-months used card from the forums here, cost me 130$ and it's supposed to be one of the best... I will probably not tell the difference though

And NCIX already price-checked me an item that they were selling for 700$ and TigerDirect for 250$... so they will as long as you provide correct information (canadian sites, all from Shopbot.ca/pricechecker.ca)

that is true, but even a low end sound card won't sound anywhere near a higher end one. i noticed this with creatives low end models. They just didn't give any game justice. I wonder how that titanium does....i'll check some reviews.

I think you just answered the question that was asked previously: are you an audiophile. Yes you are.

I'd say he's an audio enthusiast. I've never owned a dedicated, but I may have to purchase one one of these days.

i might cut out the mouse for now and find out at the store i like and get a auzen forte over the titanium. if i had a dedicated amp tho they say the titanium is a better choice.

silvos, you should try it. pair it out with a decent pair of headphones (haven't tried speakers yet) and that focus of the fine little details will be there. like for example on css, just heading each individual round and the clicks of the p90 for example. like it actually made you feel you were actually there.

man i cna't wait on this build xD

haha xD should just be 3 slots eh? a green, orange, and black cables for your sound card? or is it the satilletes (probably spelt that wrong, IE 6.0 at woook wheeee) itself?

what 5.1 system you have? that x-520 or whatever?
It's some JSI DVD player thing, and then there's a Koss one with a optical/coaxial input. They're both 5.1 systems.

Everything the same, but without a mouse (going to look for one in the store with my pickiness) and my sound card is now a Auzentech Forte
