one thing i can tell you right now is that before i replaced the tim on my 480, my max temps for benchmarking have been as high as 93*c. so far, since i replaced the tim, i haven't broken 84*c after running vantage 4 times with similar overclock settings. this is looking very promising. if anything else changes, i'll update about it.

10c difference? Nice! And you just did that right? The tim hasn't even broken in yet. I've been getting low 90s during regular playing in BC2 and WoW on my 470, not just the benchmarking; ridiculous! I hope I get as good of results as you have.

Well it looks like the max voltage we will get out of the 470s is 1.087v

it's official, the ocz freeze tim application is worth it's weight in gold. i just got done running vantage with the highest oc i have been able to so far on my gtx 480 (860/1720/1000, 1.138v). my maximum temperature was 79*c, my minimum was 37*c (as read from msi ab after the vantage run). i am guessing that since the weather has been cooler the past couple of days, it will naturally aid my ambient temperature some, but this is ridiculous. my max temp from my best previous vantage run before ocz freeze application was 93*c. if 79*c is my new max temp, then i am thinking 900/1800/1000 is very attainable on air.

Maxed out the settings in Heaven 2.0. I only have a 19" LCD, so 1280x1024 is highest resolution, but this is stock vs OC benchmark results. Looks good, and again, I am sure I can tweak this a bit more.

Minimum FPS almost tripled.

Fan maxed at 98% and temps maxed at 74C.

DD copper gtx480 block arrived today, I am currently in the process of OC the system with it installed. This is a basic water loop with a 2x120 rad, my 480 and an OC i7930@4.2 in the loop. not the best cooling possible, but I am definately seeing that heat is what kills the OC on this card, I'm up to #'s I havent seen on air even at 100% fan. I'll keep you all updated.
