Yep!

I would do shaders and run Vantage in max settings till it downclocks or frezzes or reboots the PC.

Then play with the memory. BTW these cards don't do very good overclock in the memory it seems. Except for NCSpec's Asus GTX 480.

Memory overclocks don't really affect performance as much as core overclocks though. If you raise your core to the point where it stops giving you gains, then it would be a good idea to start looking at overclocking the memory, since that tells you that you're starting to run into a ram speed bottleneck.

Personally, running at 815 core and dropping ram from 1000 to 980 made not a point of difference in either vantage or heaven benchmarks.

Time to play! =o)~ Just gotta get some studs that will fit into the card mounting holes. Every stud I have is a hair too large.

I cannot unlock core voltage on my PNY GTX 480 even flashed to Asus Bios (GTX 480) and installed afterburner 1.6 beta 5.

Anyone locking up in Call of Duty 4(not MW2)? My computer keeps hard locking and the overclock is 100% stable. I backed it down to 3.8ghz. OC Scanner doesn't lock up . So is it the game?

I have some issues as well. I will run 30 loops of crysis benchmark and then randomly lock up playing other less demanding games. It makes no sense. Some games are not stable with the GTX 480's maybe? I know L4D2 has all kinds of texture issues with the 480's.

It's crazy cus my card is stable up to 815mhz on stock volts! Which is great. Im still working with it so I can't say for certain that it's no good past that. We will see how it pans out as I test it more.
