That bios is more efficient. I ran vantage once with that bios, and my stock bios with the 480 clocks. The ocx480 scored 400 more gpu points.

- Upper limit for core voltage slider on NVIDIA GeForce GTX 400 series graphics cards has been upped to 1213mV. Please take a note that regular GTX 400 cards will not allow you to go beyond the reference voltage limits (1087mV for GTX 470 and 1138mV for GTX 480) until unlocked BIOS is flashed

Afterburner beta 6, just noticed this. 1213 seems kindof high, is this safe? I've gotten 850 core with 1087mV.. interested if I could push a bit higher but it seems like a bit much. Whats the max recommended voltage from nvidia?

Bumping, 1213 instantly fails for me on my 470 regardless of clock. Do you need to flash to a 480 bios to go above 1087 or something?

465 should be here tomorrow. I may just flash to one of the overvolted bioses. Do these voltages have increased stock values or just simply allow for higher voltages? Reason I ask is b/c to circumvent killing the card if the shaders don't run at a normal 470 voltage.

Forgive me as I haven't went through and read every post in the thread, but I read a good bit.

Simple question, anyone have any luck using NiBiTor to edit voltages in the bios? And if so what are some VID's I should try to use? Also I guess I should use at least 01 for active entries?

I used SmartDoctor with the Asus bios but max voltage I could give was like 1.136 I think it was. Which got me to 850 core but that was a bit rocky in a couple benchmarks like JC2, display driver stopped responding once.

Been awhile since I dove into an NV bios.

Yep nibitor released 5.6 to the public yesterday. You can set the voltages manually under tools>fermi voltages

Can someone please provide me with a way to get my 480 to 900/1800+ stable for folding. Right now I cant get above 865/1730. I think i may need a bios flash to push my voltage up. Temp is no issue, WC.

Thanks chatch. I looked right over the Fermi clocks and fermi voltage in the tools menu.

Went straight to just voltage table editor.

All right, will have to play with it some more tomm as it's late here now.

And I'll see what I can do with her on air.
