Gigabyte gtx 470 with moded BIOS, 1.15v max and TR Spitfire
So far max oc is 880/1015 at 1.15v. Max temp in 3dVantage is 60c. 1900rpm 120mm on Spitfire. Temp at stock is around 50c in games.

Spitfire is graet cooler for 470 and it loves high rpm vents. 5c cooler with 1900 over 1200rpm.

The only difference among them would be the manufacturer name that shows up in gpu-z
Is there an MSI option? I just found this thread *doh* after searching the Google on the Internets for Overvolting Fermi. Very interested in that 1.21OC Vcore bios

Open up the latest gpuz and rip your bios with the icon beside the bios name and upload it.

**Double Post**

Didn't want to obscure the post above with the bios dump.

IDK if anyone else has noted this, but after I used Grunions 480 1.21v Bios, I'm able to set the Voltage all the way to 1.21v in AFTERBURNER Beta 2.0, and it does NOT revert to 1.087v

Just a note. Regardless of voltage my cards won't make it through Vantage @ 850/1600/1900. It gets close though! Definitely going to be getting some Waterblocks as soon as I have the extra funds

hi friendz......

I have problem flashing ocx480.rom bios on my galaxy gtx 470 GC model........i flash through nvflash.exe, but it didn't work. I am able to make a backup.rom and removes the write protection, but when i try to flash it with " nvflash -4 -5 -6 ocx480.rom " it said:

PCI DEVICE ID override detected
type YES to confirm all cpas

.....i type yes......& then this happened
" error: update aborted "

Is this because i have a non reference card.......???
plz guyz need your help..........

I have the SF MSI GTX 470.
I flashed my bios to the eVGA one after removing write protection with nvflash, but now I can't go back.
I have tried --protection off, -r, it says it removes protection, but then always either says it can't read the new bios file, or throws some error. I tried using Extreme Tuner HD, and it always fails. I've tried with multiple downloads, and multiple bioses, and nothing seems to work. I also tried removing the protection in DOS and then using HD in Windows like I did the first time. And I have freshly reformatted and reinstalled my DOS USB drive as well. WTH? Am I missing something?

I'm only concerned because after my recent reformat, OC Scanner will not keep the P0 profile, it constantly defaults to P3 after a few seconds. I have a more aggressive fan profile than before the reformat, and the GPU itself is only at 55C when it does it.
That, and the little fact that if I have to RMA it, and MSI looks at the bios, I'm done for.

HELPZ!!
