I have the SF MSI GTX 470.
I flashed my bios to the eVGA one after removing write protection with nvflash, but now I can't go back.
I have tried --protection off, -r, it says it removes protection, but then always either says it can't read the new bios file, or throws some error. I tried using Extreme Tuner HD, and it always fails. I've tried with multiple downloads, and multiple bioses, and nothing seems to work. I also tried removing the protection in DOS and then using HD in Windows like I did the first time. And I have freshly reformatted and reinstalled my DOS USB drive as well. WTH? Am I missing something?
I'm only concerned because after my recent reformat, OC Scanner will not keep the P0 profile, it constantly defaults to P3 after a few seconds. I have a more aggressive fan profile than before the reformat, and the GPU itself is only at 55C when it does it.
That, and the little fact that if I have to RMA it, and MSI looks at the bios, I'm done for.
Do you have any capital letters in the .rom file name? If you have it as BIOS.rom can't send bios.rom as a command.
