Hi, all!

First post here, but a long time visitor Sorry for my english, hope its readable... As a dutch bloke i'll try anyway..

I flashed my 2 Asus GTX470 with the overvoltage bios from the start post, and selected the Asus identifying bios. Somehow it showed me that it was the EVGA identifying one! (in nibitor and e-leet). Am i the only one?

What i wanted to ask u next is, how do you all test you GPU stability? Point is that in MSI kombustor (comes with afterburner) and furmark the stability is fine @800/1600/1825 @ 1,074v, but when testing in OCCT gpu test it shows me artifacts at much lower speeds (770/1540/1800) even @ 1.1v
So what do you consider "game-stable" furmark or OCCT gpu?

And the last question:

Im planning the zalman V3000F cooler on both, but i'm not sure it 'll fit. The upper card is'nt the problem, because i got plenty of space between the 2 on my " e760 classie", But the point is the lower card. My PSU is seated below the mobo and i got +/- 15mm between PSU and the lower GTX470. So with the v3000f being a trippleslot cooler, is the 15mm enough? Somebody with the same setup mayby? If you reply, please in metric system!

Thnx OC'ers...

an OC forum fan (got lots of helpfull info the past years, keep it up!)

You can use GPUz to copy your BIOS off your card, then modify it how ever you want with NibiTor. That's the easiest way to change your manufacturer, max allowable voltage, etc.
I can help with the classified, sorry.

Hi I bought an evga gtx 470 SC shortly after they came out in may 2010. I would like to know though since my GPU is an older gtx 470 if I could loose some temps by upgrading my bios on the GPU?. Does anyone know what bio's EVGA used on their first versions of the 470 SC?

I lapped my 460 a while ago. This card is now being sold on (not here) and I'm buying an XFX GTX 460 (yes they do produce them: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?...ducts_id=16173 )

Anyway i used 600 800 and 1200 grit sandpaper. pics:

The stock bios is fine..
I wouldn't worry about flashing your bios till you have aftermarket coooling for the card.. As that is the only reason we really flash, is for more voltage.
Something that should not really be done on those reference coolers.
