Question for you guys: My SLI is giving me worse performance than a single GPU GTX 480. I have tested this personally. SLI 480's gives me inconsistent fps and sometimes low fps during actions. This happens in many games ranging from Dragon Age to Starcraft. Why is this the case? I don't think any components on my rig can bottleneck this setup. I am using the latest driver and the latest SLI enhancement patch from EVGA. What else should I try?

This will sound obvious but can you reseat both cards and reseat the SLI connector. Dont force them with brute force just until you hear the cards click and until the connector is in snugly. Also check your 6 and 8 pin power connectors to make sure they are connected snugly. A lot of those cables have to make a pretty hard bend to get to the PSU. Then test again. If still problems, fire up Nvidia Contoller and send us a screen shot. At same time ensure SLI is enabled. Lets do all of that first then there are some other thing to try.

Also while you have the cards out of the Motherboard, I would also say for you to take some canned air and blow out the PCI-E sockets to make sure that there isn't any dust in there. And when you are checking all of your connections, make sure to check to see if your 8 and 6 pin connectors are attached to your PSU correctly and completely inserted (that is if they are modular). Are you using any sort of adapters to connect the 6 and 8 pins to your cards?
