Official NVIDIA GTX400 Series Owners Thread - Page 16

Don't forget me:

Got it for the CUDA.

Very, very impressed with the video so far. Also very impressed with the game graphics. Very solid. Please note I'm running on a 1300 by 766 or whatever (my 42 inch)...but BC2 I was running super smooth with 32AA...same with Batman (75 average in bench 3.6 on my Phenom II 940 downstairs)...

Tried Folding to prepare for Chimp challenge, that failed.

So far, gotten it to work on SETI, Einstein and Collatz. Still need to do Worldgrid.

SETI - good wu's, and impossibly long ones, don't know
Einstein - Bad, 10% GPU usage - but keeps the 470 cool (low 60's on autofan)
Collatz - 86% GPU usage average in the VERY high 90's on mid 70's fan (constant)...either that or 100% fan keeps it in the low 80's..

Folding - supposedly waiting for GPU3......

Games and videos - awesome.

I need 3D now. That's why ultimately I chose it for downstairs - I'd rather the whole family benefit..........

EDIT - can't forget - Milkyway (double precision) - doesn't work. We know already it's gimped for double precision. Here Nvidia should rethink their strategy - don't just leave the power on the table - let the average consumer tap into it too. there are other ways to raise the price on the professional boards (which need more parity in price anyways)..
