I replaced the TIM on my 480 and the temps dropped by 6C
Definitely worth doing.

You're lucky. I only sold my SC + backplate for $150 and the regular GTX 260 CORE 216 55nm for $120. My GTX 480 is much better though, my results can be found here.

What is taking Arctic Cooling so long making an Accelero XTREME heat sink for the GTX 400 series?

On that link of yours, you say that the silicon foam "stripe" in the back of the 480 is for cooling? Isn't it just for separating two 480's in SLI to avoid the heatsinks from touching and causing a short?

Here is mine
Not use to being on this side of the forum, but I'm glad to say I traded my two seven-month-old reference XFX 5770's with a one year warranty for a new Gigabyte GTX 470 with a three year warranty!

Looks like I got some stuff to change in the USERCP!

Where can I download the best drivers for the 470? May I get a link, please?

Furthermore, I will provide a GPU-Z validation... and a picture (hopefully).

EDIT: Nevermind, I found the beta here to 257.12 here:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7-wi...7.15-beta.html

EDIT #2: Proof:

EDIT #4: Are my clocks stock? I don't see any voltage control in MSI AfterBurner. I have had the voltage unlock controls already checked, because I had my 5770s OC'd with MSI-AB. I also had enable unofficial overclocking set to 1, but I reset it to 0...just don't see any voltage control here. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
