And?? You need a pic of your GTX 480 or the clocks in GPU-Z as well as your OCN name under it, beside it, whatever. Those are prerequisites.

Saying "Pny GTX 480" doesn't mean a thing. Plus this is OCN. What have you overclocked it to? What voltage was used, what fan speed? We like to know these things here.

Also don't repost, edit your original post. Servers aren't free. Ya know?

All lists have been updated.

Sidenote: nexxusty, I appreciate you in helping out to enforce the rules. I have been a little more lenient lately from requiring "official" posts according to the OP rules, but you are correct. Grobinov., even I can't accept a post that vague. At least make one GPU-z screenshot or a simple photo of the card. Something to prove that you actually have it. I will put you on the pending list for now until you post again with some visual proof.

chatch, you know of course I'm not going to add that. You and your BIOS fun, lol.

The cpu is water-cooled but the rest is air. I cant get my memory to do anything but i can get my shaders to 1.5 with no voltage mods. And as for the huge screen cap, I run a vizio 37" for my main monitor with two 24" hp's in portrait one each side. Looks awesome but not so much for all the heat this rig puts out, the 2 470's and 3 lcds heat up my room quick . And some how my 750w corsair psu is holding it all up.

q6600 @ 3.6ghz 1.5V
6gb ddr3 @ 1600mhz
xfx 790i ultra
470 evga sli
9800gt ee pny
4 750gb hdd's in raid 0+1 for os and games
4 750gb hdd's in raid 5 for storage
Antec p180 case
Koolance RP-1000BK with 2 120mm rads
750w corsair psu

Edit: almost forgot the image.

are those significant memory overclocks on 470s only achievable through water cooling? i can get mine to 1800 tops before it starts being unstable @ 1.087v (on stock). more voltage would easily push temps above 100c on load, which would be useless...

Absolutely not. I have my RAM @ 2250 now with no issues. It's the card your using, my experience with Galaxy was a bad one. They use less layers on their PCB's and substandard GPU's and RAM as well. Not trying to make you feel bad but I would never recommend a Galaxy card to anyone. Galaxy seems like the beggars of the GPU world. "Ohh plz give us your ****ty binned GPU's and RAM for cheap so we can make money too!!!" That's Galaxy.

I suggest if you can do it, to take the card back and get and EVGA or and Asus or something that you an trust. I personally only buy EVGA because of the amazing warranty they have. Being a guy who RMA's quite a bit (especially RAM kits LOL) it's worth it to have a good warranty on your video card if you O/C the crap out of everything like we do.

Why not just rename this thread to "Official NVIDIA Fermi Owners Thread"?

Well, I've done some overclocking.. and my results =

500 seconds of OCCT: Full Screen 2048x1536 / 8 Shader Complexity =
< 92*C (don't remember ambient temps, sorry) and no errors!

Gigabyte 470 (model B)
Core Voltage: 1.025v
Core Clock: 760MHz
Shader Clock: 1520MHz
Memory Clock: 1750MHz
Fan Speed: 100% (for testing)

I was wondering what should I shoot for? I currently play Aion, and I notice only 40-78% of my GPU is being used. I do play BC2 time to time, and I would like to know what's the highest temp my cards can hit (while staying safe)? With my overclock, I never go above 75*C.
Anyone with a similar GTX 470 have any OC's to share? Thanks in advance.
