1st off, your processor has 533FSB, not 566. If your motherboard says it is 566, there is something wrong (bug or something else) Now, you have an intresting motherboard, it is a PCIe AGP combo board which is definitly bound to have problems. What is your graphics card? Is it AGP or PCIe? Your problem probably lies within your GFX card because of your motherboard.

Maybe i should update my BIOS? Its pretty old?
Thanks!
Yes! update the bios, I was about to recommend that. If you update that, It will probably give a lot of added support to gfx cards and new processors released by intel.
Edit: also, do you know what your intel spec # is? Because the latest 506 released supports EM64T. here
Yes, it is 506... could that be the problem? because i've been to an Asus Support forum and everyone says to update the BIOS because the motherboard does not recognize the new CPU model, which in this case is: Intel P4 506.
See if you can help any further, thanks for the service.
wait, I know the specs, but do you know what the spec # is? (It is on the processor, and on the side of the box) it is either, SL7YU or SL85U or SL8J8. That's what I need, then I can tell you exactly what's wrong
I'm getting the same "intel cpu ucode loading error" on boot. I have an Asus P5MT-M and a Intel Pentium D 3.0GHz 830 dual core CPU. Everything seems to work fine, but this is a server and I'm afraid something might be reducing performance.
This happened before any operating system was installed, and most references I find are to do with the OS. But, just for your info, I have Windows 2003 installed, with SP1.
I have updated to the newest BIOS from the Asus website, no change. I've tried CPU Fan1 and CPU Fan2, no change. I've tried every CPU option in almost every configuration in the CMOS setup, no change. If I turn off the error notification, it just goes past, but the error still shows, just don't have to push F1.

Any other ideas?

I have the same problem! Intel has changed the stepping of new series of their CPUs as 830.
I have the same problem: "Intel CPU ucode loading error". I'm with ASUS P5MT-M motherboard, with latest BIOS and Intel PentiumD 830. I've tried ANYTHING but no changes - "Intel CPU ucode loading error". What you think, could be from the stepping? My CPU is from new series of Intel's CPUs and I notised that the stepping is different from older CPUs.
Wow, that's a lot of cases. My guess would be your motherboards (expecially the Asus boards) don't support the latest steppings Intel is comming out with. (which is very strange). Humm, I'd say trade your processor for a older stepping? Most of these cases seem SOL.
I have to same problem! and I have ASUS motherboard also. but I have P4P800 SE (478, 800FSB) and Intel P4 3Ghz c1:256, c2:1024, 800FSB 478 CPU!
I hit F1 (Resume) and continue booting. What is uCode???
Ive always had the newest bios but I still get it when the system is anything other then stock settings, Ive never had a problem with it so I dont even worry about it, man this is an old thread LOL.
Let me explain my problem to you, a similary one like our friend cossack4ever. So I have just bought a system as follows:
1. asus p5n32 sli delux (mb)
2. intel pentium D (dual core 940, 3.2 Ghz) - CPU
3. 1 Gb Corsair RAM
4. Gainward bliss 7900 (graphics card)
So, concerning these terms, I have installed Windows XP ProfessionaL... ...before loading OS, I see everytime the same crazy message: "Intel CPU uCode loading error, please, press F1 to resume" ... So, I do feel I get crazy ... What the hell is the problem and how could I solve it?
- Is MB damaged anyway?
- Is the BIOS version (American Megatrend 2002 - 2004) really old?
- or ... Am I so silly?

lot thks
Theres noting wrong with any of it. The board just seems to have a hickup with some fo the chips. Munes been doing it from day 1 with many differant chips and bios versions. Dont sweat, its just a read error as far as I know. It will be just fine. if you want to stop the post from asking for the hit F1 to continue, disable that feature in the bios under boot settings.
no, i had this problem yesterday, it's the setting in the BIOS...ENABLED the setting above the "CPUID MAX..LIMIT" will solve it.. i think it's called "Codeupdate.........." or something like that
sorry i forgot what its called....i'll check again when i'm home...
i have the ASUS P5VDC-X motherboard and it did EXACT SAME to me with my pentiumd 915 go to newegg.com and read about it in the reviews... you will need to upgrade your bios (easy to do) with the tools provided by asus support (at their website) good luck
p.s. also most asus mobo new come with a c d that makes it easy as hell to upgrade your bios, just get the correct bios file fromthe site and it's basically self explanitory
