If you can isolate the coil / capacitor squealing, applying some clear nail polish is *supposedly* a solution... tbh I've never tried it though :\\

When my 4870x2 squealed I just RMA-ed it... luckily Sapphire didn't care lol

Well, I knew I was going to get a newer card, but I was thinking maybe a 9800GTX or something.

i got a bfg 285gtx oc+ after i RMAed a bfg 260 216!!

bfg is awesome

the only reason i RMAed was the 260 had a prob where it was at stock clocks , not the few mhz higher it was supposed to be (i had the lowest end bfg cards and they're supposed to be a little faster than plain stock)

i still oced the hell out of that card, benched at like 800+
