RAM timings question

Thread Starter
Should I use the timings that are listed on the DDR sticks (3-3-3-8), or should I change them when trying to OVERCLOCK.

Thanks.

You should probably leave them how they are for now. But as you increase your FSB you will either have to increase your ram voltage, or slacken the timings a bit. your ram will eventually hit a wall where those timings will be too tight to run at a high FSB

i had a pair of DDR500 sticks that had timings of 3-4-4-8 and i tried to run them at 3-3-3-8 and i could only get an extra +20 to the FSB before windows would crash. i put it back down to 3-4-4-8 and ive gone as has as +80 on the FSB with a 1:1 on the mem
