satellite is for TV only, normal coax otherwise.

It's not fully set up yet, but that's how I'm planning to do it, even though I think I might have to think of a better set up.
That Cisco 4000 router changed my whole set up, but I couldn't let it go for $20 on clearance at Staples.

Why a wireless router coming off a wireless router.
You say G only on the 2nd.
Why not have the first do B/G/N and call it a day?

Do you have the 2nd router on a long Ethernet cable and somewhere else for better range?

I use a separate wireless AP for my G network as well. Though my G AP has better range so thats one thing, but I don't like people bogging down my N network when I need to use it. I have a wireless N AP setup as a client in the living room to stream HD movies, so really that and my laptop are the only two things that get to use my N setup. Everyone else gets G.

Well I was thinking of just doing a G only so the N main Wireless router doesn't stress too much. I have 2x Linsys WRT160N besides the CiscoE2000. Also have like 2 more G only wireless routers frown.gif that since I haven't been able to sell them I thought about using them.

I've found that machine's connected directly to the modem can't communicate with the DC which is connected to the Netgear. At some point I'm hoping to replace the Cisco modem with a simple Modem without a router/wireless router built in and add a switch behind the Netgear. Also I show lines connected to my Wii, PS3, My laptop and the girlfriends laptop but they're wireless and I didn't see a wireless line option on gliffy.

I have ASUS RT-AC66U router. It uses 2.4 and 5GHz bandwidth. I also use the high speed for me and lower speed for guests. (I don't have the ac devices yet, but my n laptop is faster than my g one...) There is a difference of x8-x9 between G and N (theoreticly)

I used the eraser after pulling a line and erased some pieces away (in Paint redface.gif) wink.gif

Of course there is a difference between N and G

I was saying as far as router CPU load etc. there would be no difference running the N and G networks on a single device.
