i received new ram today but for some reason i cant go over 250mhz. Tried increasing the vcore and the ram core, loosened the timings, i cant either go over 250mhz neither 2.6ghz. Anything to help me solve the prob?

Did you lower your cpu multi to take your proc out of the equation as the limiting component? If not, knock your cpu mutli down to like 7X when you are trying to find the max speed of your ram. Also, what timings did you change, and what timings are your ram rated at to run at pc4800 speeds? Also, is your ram bh5, bh6, TCCD or TCC5? What are the recommended voltages of your ram? And what exact model of ram do you have?

Let the RAM burn in for a few weeks or so, RAM dosn't always reach it's max rated speed out of the box, especially if it's pc4800. Give it some time, then crank up the speed.

Well, it could be that your CPU is holding you back, not your RAM... Maybe. What divider are you running at?
edit: it could also be your PSU, are you still using that crappy Raidmax PSU? If so, that is your main problem, my Raidmax 420 watt crapped out on me after a few months of owning it, the rails were also very unstable even at time of purchase.

What processor are u using? what u need is set the divider to 200 1:1. without knowing what processor u have u can try this variations.
Dram: 200

Fsb: 255
Ram: 255 mhz
Multi: 11
Cpu:2.805 <----overclocked cpu speed

Dram: 200
Ram: 281 mhz
Fsb: 281
Multi: 10
Cpu: 2.81

This next set up im not sure if its going to be possible like i said im not sure what proc u have this is for the 3k+ with x9 multi

Dram: 200
Ram: 300mhz
Fsb: 300
Multi: 9
Cpu: 2.70

Hope this helps u

if you haven't yet, set your Command Rate to 2T. Asus boards seem to have a problem around this speed at 1T.

ok i have a winchester 3200@2.0 . Ok it seems like the cpu is holding me back cus my ram is running at 292mhz while the cpu at 2335mhz(2.3) with a multiplier of 8, so i mean i dont know what to think, any ideas?
by the way i tried the second one and didnt work. it seems like the cpu cant go over 2.5 or 2.56.
