Best FPS Gaming Mouse?

I just built a new system and figured I'd try one of those razer mice out. I bought the Razer boomslang
collecter's edition (link below) and it's nice but the side buttons are extremely easy to press. It's kind of
annoying really. Do gaming mice really make that big of a difference? Might I be better off with just a
regular microsoft mouse?

Everybody says the MX518 is awesome, but I can't testify it myself.

Don't forget to check out the gigabyte ghost... it doesn't seem to be the most popular but its got switchable DPI up to 6000 and weights.. Its my absolute favorite mouse.

I have a razor death adder mouse and like it. Gaming mice are quicker refresh rate so you're more accurate because they are quicker than a normal mouse. I went from a microsooft POS to a razar and it felt 4x quicker when aiming.

Mice don't make a big difference in gaming at all. Believe me, I've tried lots of mice. There are some mice you want to stay away from though, like wireless mice for example.

The only two Microsoft mice I'd recommend for gaming with side buttons is the 1.1a, and the 3.0.

When you pick a mouse remember that most mice will do the job as long as it doesn't have any major flaws. Get something that you like and feel comfortable using.

I have a Logitech G9x, both it and the old G9 are great gaming mice. I am looking forward to this though.

It is supposed to be released this month. It is expensive, but it has a lot of nice looking features. Hopefully it doesn't suck.
