What's better? (RAM timings vs speed)

Thread Starter
I have pc5300 ddr2 667mhz, currently running a divider of 4:3 which is 380mhz ish(not on my computer right now) at 3-2-2-8. Would it be better to run it at faster speed with looser timings of 5-5-5-15 or more.? The only way I have gotten the OC i have is to run the 4:3 divider. If I run 1:1 3.56ghz is all I can get. I can even run 3:5 which would max my ram out even at low 3-2-2-8 timings. I get great benchmarks running the 4.08ghz OC

In general, Intels run better with higher bandwidth even at the cost of looser timings. AMDs tend to respond better to tight timings at the cost of lower bandwidth. That's all great in theory, however, individual systems perform in different ways. The best thing you can do is benchmark your system at a variety of settings and see which works best for you.
