How to run Riva TNT2 m64 on win7?

Thread Starter
I sold my sig card and will be upgrading to 5830 in 1 month until then i have to use Riva TNT2 m64 PCI as my GPU.
and I am using Windows 7 Ultimate x64.
Are there any drivers for this card to run on Win 7, any tweak or Windows Update will take care of it?

I will be very thankful to who ever helps me.

Regards.

Windows update should install it.
If it lags then either update it from device manager or get the drivers for the card

Which driver version?

And i'll be using it on 1080p.

Aero won't work with that card ( you need a directX 9 card with shader 2.0 support, it's a directX 7 card with no shaders) , and its probably going to lag like hell trying to run it at that resolution with 16 or 32mb of vram. Windows 7 should have a built in generic driver for that card.

It'll lag even without Aero?

Some of the old reviews say that it supports resolutions upto 1920x1200x75hz

Oh it supports them, but it won't be fast. I don't even think a monitor that would do that kind of resolution existed back then when that card was out. The tntm64 is a scaled down tnt 2. Intel's old gma845 stuff is faster then that card.

It will work in windows 7 with the generic driver, however the performance I'm guessing is going to be bad, but since I've never tested a 10 year old card on a 24" lcd I can't be sure. I installed win 7 on a friends computer running a celeron and a gma845 with 64mb of ram and it ran ok at 1280x1024.

It should run in win7 32-bit using a win 2000 or winxp driver, but as for win7 64-bit I do not know if it will run.
It will not run Aero.
resolutions up to 1920x1200x75hz, should work
I have had a voodoo3 2000 ruining in win7 32-bit with on lag, so the TNT2 should run fine.

P.S. Have fun playing unreal, unreal tournament and quake 3 on that video card.
