I ordered the parts today.
Thank you kindly for the pictures. It looks like a lot of fun!
Now, in my experiment I do not intend to get the temps quite as low as -70c...LOL
For my first time out, I am aiming for 0 C to -10C. I just bought insulation...I am preparing my board for lower temps...
1 x*** NEW *** Syscooling SC-300 Water Cooling Pump
- Fitting Size: 3/8" Barb for 3/8" ID tube$29.94
4 xStainless Steel Shielded Hose Clamps for 1/2in.OD.Tubing$3.16
9 xTygon 3603 3/8" ID (1/2" OD) Clear Tubing$17.91
1 xBlack Ice Pro II Compact High Performance Radiator - Black

That pump I picked out...is and was intended to be cheap..just in case I end up messing this up!...The pump is the most expensive thing on the whole list. I don't want to mess up my current pump, sp I don't care if I mess up this cheapo pump.
Since DICE is natively -78C, I do not think I will need to have more than 1-2 pieces in my slush at a time. (with regular water ice of course!) Unless of course someone else has a better idea as to how much 1 pound of DICE can do as far as cooling goes.
Right now, the coolant I have is intended for a system that can have temps of about 0C. I have a Boreas cooling system, that utilizes TECs to cool, the coolant is support to be good for those temps.
If that is a bad idea, then I will look for a better anti-freeze compound. I bought Tygon tubing because it was suppose to handle chemicals better than the others.
Thanks for the advice, and getting me interested. I am glad I choose this community to hang around. Some places are...mean!
Lol... there are plenty of slush box threads even on this forum... I have 1x floating around here somewheres...too, you just need to look a bit first. Folks dont exactly get paid to dispense answers around here ya know
