You should be able to oc with that Asus board, unless it came from a prebuilt rig (HP, Dell, etc.), but if there is an option to change the FSB in the BIOS, then the mobo is overclockable. If I have the same CPU as you (P4 Northwood 2.6ghz 800fsb w/HT), and have gotten it at 3.06ghz (235FSB x 13multiplier) stable, limiting factor in my case would be the temp as I am using stock cooling.

I think you need to update the BIOS by flashing it to the latest. Go to asus.com, find your mobo model, and see if they have the latest BIOS for the mobo available for download.

You can keep on going as long as the max load does not exceed 50C (strongly recommended to stay under this temp to prolong the life of CPU). My CPU idles at 30C and max load around 52C, and that is the farthest I'm willing to go with stock cooling. The multipliers on these CPUs are locked, and cannot be changed. And last, I would check the stability by running Prime95 for a few hours or OCCT for at least an hour.

I run my 2.6C @ 270x130 for 3.51
These chips overclock very well as long as you keep them cool enough. You probably want to keep it under 60C load temps

planoser, could you let me know your ram timings? I set 2.5:3:3:7:5. Then I have stability errors with prime 2004.
