wonder what happens if I set my normal "max" on my Vid then unlink the shaders and just push the core clocks up even more...?

I think the 9800gtx+ is more powerful than the gts 250. The 9800gtx+ is breaking 17.5k in 3Dmark, what do you guys think?

I think you may be right on the money there, was thinking about changing to a 250 the other day but after seeing all the GPU-Z's on this thread I've decided against it

The GTX+=to the GTS250 and the GTS250 consumes less power and clocks higher with less heat
