So you asked for advice, if you ever get upset at my questions/shopping, feel free to tell me to stop

Basically, you're telling me you can't get rid of your current motherboard for this?

::edit::^^^wrong link sorry^^^

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/193510

^^^correct link^^^

Then get rid of your gfx card, and pick up another 2GB of that corsair RAM?

Nah, I'm not getting upset, I do appreciate your advice. I'll be honest, I'd rather keep the 4670, as I would use the power it provides for gaming (The main reason I don't play DiRT 2 at the moment is because my HP has a dodgy RAM stick and can't keep cool to save its life)

EDIT: Just checked your updated post. I'm also trying to stick with an ATX board for future expandability.

I believe I will manage with 2Gb for a while anyway. My HP's been running on 2Gb for a while now (the 1Gb stick died and I couldn't be bothered to replace it), and for my uses, I've only experienced the odd hitch. Literally as soon as I can afford it, I will pick up another Corsair 2Gb stick.

The main reason I posted here was just to see whether any of the stuff I had picked had got major faults or wouldn't work together. I'll go ahead with these specs I currently have, but with the SpinPoint in place of the WD. Thanks to all that have posted.

ok, but i still think that's a dodgy psu, sure you used it before but that wasn't nearly as much power draw as your future build. i bought a coolermaster eXtreme and it took out half my computer, while it was running it was the loudest POS ever. anywho, good luck on your computer, i hope you enjoy yours as much as i enjoyed my first build, you certainly won't regret it.

get the AMD Athlon II X3 425, not the athlon ii x2 250.

The 250 is 28% below the bang for buck average of all current selling processors. The Athlon ii x3 425 is like 59% above the bang for buck average.

What about that? Onboard video and it's cheaper.

well, i recommend this:

just because you can hybrid crossfire a 4670 and it would preform 4850 levels in some games.

The board I have supports Crossfire, although 1 card has to be at 4x speeds. Same as this board you've chosen, actually, when I look at it.

My intention eventually is to Crossfire 4670s, but I may, instead of shelling out for another one at the end of the year, just get a 5770 instead.

What he mean by hybrid crossfire was combining external graphics and onboard graphics.
It's a cost effective way to boost performance.
Your CPU is horrible by the way, sure you won't get a bigger one? Athlon IIs lack L3 cache, making them die at bigger games with higher details and resolution. Either Athlon II X3, X4 or Phenom II X2 maybe?

If you can find me any of those under £51.99, I'd get it.
