It has degraded to 3.35GHZ for reasons I still don't understand. Maybe the CPU and/or mainboard are dying. But, yeah, it's a E6600 with DDR2-1000 4-5-5-15 RAM 100% dedicated to 24/7 folding operation. It does nothing else.

i would do something like that but i dont have the money to build a second c2d rig. i have been looking into it and the cheapest i could possibly make a very good c2d folding rig is about $600
post #693 of 1980
well I'm gaming alot on my rig which is slowing my ppd, but I'm still 1.5K + and with the weird stanford errors I lost a WU one day... weird...

And yes Franken I agree OCN is an astounding group of FOlders that just don't stop and next time ur up against a wall break it down... then keep folding until u hit the next one...and so on...

omg it is really just the three of us elite teams at the top and then everyone else. next month will be good for us. we now have three members with q6600's so we should be seeing some big numbers by dedicating two of the four cores exclusively to folding. and one of our members who has a q6600 now has an e6300 running linux smp 24/7 so everyone else should look out. if we can stay consistent we should be near the 200,000 point mark next month

no gaming for me tonight, or tomorrow all day! gotta pump as much out as posssible lol
post #697 of 1980
sorry skullz but i dont think that will make much of a difference. and if you're on the q6600 it wont make a difference if you are gaming because the load will just be on the other two cores... if you arent going to game you could spend your time setting up vmware and linux
